St. John’s Regatta 2011- Sights and Sounds

It’s difficult to imagine summer without the Royal St. John’s Regatta. The oldest organized sporting event in North America, it has been ongoing since 1818 and draws upwards of 50 thousand visitors each year.

It’s likely that most Newfoundlanders have visited the regatta at one time or another. The giant social gathering has something for the entire family. Mom and dad can take in the races, enjoy some of the busker’s singing or just socialize. Kids will love the carnival-styles games and the surplus of sights and sounds.
